UK and EU Robot Hire: What to Expect
ZMProbots serves Great Britain and EU member states. Here is what changes versus a North American booking.
Currency
UK orders are invoiced in GBP. EU orders in EUR. The rate is converted from USD at the exchange rate on the booking date. No regional markup is applied.
Delivery Lead Time
UK and EU orders ship from a European logistics hub. Allow 3–5 additional business days beyond a US mainland order. For major shows — GITEX, EuroShop, Paris trade events — book 3–4 weeks ahead. For UK regional events, 2 weeks is usually sufficient lead time.
Power
The G1 is configured for 230V / 50 Hz for UK and EU deployments. Two dedicated outlets minimum. UK venues use the standard UK 3-pin socket. EU venues use Schuko or Type F. Confirm with your venue that the booth has its own circuit rather than sharing one with adjacent stands.
Floor Requirements
Carpet, concrete, and standard exhibition flooring are approved. Polished glass or smooth marble floors require traction pads under the demo zone.
Customs
UK orders cross HMRC customs. The process is handled by ZMProbots and is built into the lead time estimate. No action is required from you.
For UK and EU event bookings, the robot hire for events page has the request form and pricing overview.
US and Canada Robot Rental: What to Expect
US Coverage
ZMProbots delivers to the 48 contiguous states. Alaska and Hawaii are not served. Same-day delivery is available in major metros including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and Las Vegas — confirmed at booking. Rural destinations may add 1–2 business days.
Canada
Canadian orders ship from US logistics hubs. Lead times run 2–3 business days in most provinces. Orders are invoiced in CAD at the current exchange rate.
Power
US and Canadian venues use standard North American 110V / 60 Hz outlets. Two dedicated circuits minimum. US convention centers typically run shared booth electrical across multiple stands. Confirm your booth has its own breaker and bring a surge protector.
Pricing
Self-Service Rental starts from $299/day USD (CAD equivalent at checkout). Full-Service Event is flat-fee per event — submit a request via the event booking form for a quote.
Venue Requirements
Carpet and standard concrete are approved. Polished showroom floors — common at auto shows — need traction pads. Minimum 3 m × 3 m clear demo area is recommended for a full walking loop. The trade show robot rental guide covers full booth setup requirements.
Power and Venue Requirements by Region
Power is the most commonly missed logistical detail when booking robot hire. Sign the venue contract, then confirm electrical supply before the booking is locked in.
United States and Canada
Standard North American outlets: 110V / 120V, 60 Hz. Two dedicated circuits minimum. Convention center booth power is almost always shared across a block of stands. Ask your show’s exhibitor services team whether your allocation includes its own 20-amp circuit breaker.
United Kingdom
230V / 50 Hz, standard UK 3-pin sockets. Two dedicated outlets minimum. Bring a surge protector. UK hotel conference rooms and convention centers consistently supply adequate outlets — confirm availability before delivery day.
EU Member States
230V / 50 Hz. Schuko (Type F) sockets in most EU countries. Adapter cables provided where applicable. Same two-outlet minimum applies.
The Unitree G1 power specifications are documented on the Unitree G1 product page. For trade show power planning guides, Exhibitor Magazine publishes booth infrastructure standards that align with our requirements.
WiFi
All regions: the operator tablet requires a 5 GHz network. Public attendee WiFi collapses under show-floor load. Buy dedicated event WiFi if your venue offers it. A 5 GHz mobile hotspot as backup is worth the cost at multi-day shows.
Temperature
The G1 operates between 0–45°C. Most indoor event venues fall within that range. Outdoor winter events in northern Canada or northern UK need an indoor staging area for the charging station.
Robot Hire Pricing by Region
Pricing follows the same structure across all four regions. Only the currency changes at checkout. For a full cost breakdown, see the Unitree G1 rental cost guide.
Self-Service Rental
Starts from $299/day USD. GBP, EUR, and CAD equivalents are displayed at checkout, converted at the current exchange rate on the booking date. No regional markup is applied.
Full-Service Event
Flat-fee per event. Request a quote via the event booking form. The rate covers the robot, the ZMProbots operator, any required travel, and on-site time for the duration.
Refundable Deposit
A flat Refundable Deposit is required on all bookings, returned within 5–7 business days after collection. Any documented damage charges from the Handover Record are deducted before return.
ZMP Protection
Included at no charge on all bookings. Covers accidental damage during Approved Use. Available across all served regions.
Add-Ons
Pro Setup & Training (an optional paid session), Setup Gantry (free on bookings of 8 or more days), and Extra Battery (additional charge per unit per day) are available globally. Prices appear in your checkout currency.
People Also Ask
Is robot hire the same as robot rental?
Yes. “Robot hire” is British English for humanoid robot rental. The product, booking process, and service tiers are identical. A Unitree G1 delivered to your venue, run by your team or a ZMProbots operator.
Does ZMProbots have a UK warehouse or depot?
UK and EU orders ship from a European logistics hub. Expect 3–5 additional business days versus US mainland orders. Book 2–3 weeks ahead for major events; 1–2 weeks for smaller UK engagements.
What power does the Unitree G1 need in the UK?
230V / 50Hz, two dedicated outlets minimum. UK venues use standard 3-pin sockets. Confirm the booth circuit is not shared with adjacent stands before confirming the booking.
Can I hire a humanoid robot for a single day?
The minimum booking for Self-Service Rental is 3 days. Single-day events use the Full-Service Event tier, which covers one event day plus setup and pack-out, with a ZMProbots operator included.
Is delivery included in the UK hire price?
Yes. Delivery and collection are included on all bookings in the US, Canada, Great Britain, and the EU on weekdays. Weekend delivery is available and carries an additional surcharge.
How is GBP pricing calculated?
GBP rates are converted from the USD daily rate at the exchange rate on the booking date. No regional markup is applied. EUR and CAD bookings follow the same formula.
The Bottom Line
The robot is the same everywhere — a Unitree G1 with 41 degrees of freedom, five-finger hands, and a two-hour battery cycle. “Robot hire” and “robot rental” describe the same service on different sides of the Atlantic.
The regional differences are logistics: 230V vs 110V power, 3–5 additional days of lead time for UK and EU orders, and GBP or EUR on the invoice. None of those should catch you off guard if you confirm power with your venue and allow enough lead time in the booking. For exhibition-specific setup details, the robot hire for exhibitions guide covers the full logistics sequence.
