When you book with us in 2026, knowing what unitree g1 rental included in every package saves you from last-minute surprises on-site. Our two service tiers cover different needs, and what comes bundled with each one differs. A breakdown of every item–robot, accessories, operator support–follows below.

What You Should Know

Before comparing tiers, here are the ground rules that apply to every G1 rental regardless of which service you choose. Knowing these upfront prevents confusion at the venue.

  • The Unitree G1 is the only robot in our fleet. It stands 127cm tall, weighs 35kg, and ships in a hard-sided transport case.
  • Battery runtime is approximately 2 hours per charge. A standard charge takes around 45 minutes. Multi-session events require a charging window in the schedule.
  • The G1 runs on pre-loaded motion sequences. Custom programming beyond those standard sequences is not part of any standard package.
  • You are responsible for a standard 15A electrical outlet at the venue. This is for charging only–no special power infrastructure is required.
  • ZMP Protection covers accidental damage during Approved Use on every booking. This is not a separate add-on.
  • Our minimums differ by tier: Self-Service Rental requires a 3-day minimum; Full-Service Event runs from a 1-day minimum.
  • All bookings are tied to a specific region. Cross-region logistics (transport, routing) are handled by our team, not the client.

What Every Booking Includes

Regardless of tier, every G1 rental includes a defined set of hardware and support items. Nothing extra to source, nothing to wonder about. Here is what is always in the package.

The Robot

You get the Unitree G1 itself: 127cm tall, 35kg, 41 degrees of freedom, 9,000mAh battery pack, 3kg arm payload. It arrives charged and pre-tested. The transport case is included for every booking–you do not pay a separate equipment fee for the case or the accessories inside it.

Charged Battery

The G1 arrives with a full charge. On longer events, the charging cable is included so you can recharge between sessions. The robot typically needs a 45-minute window to go from low to full. If your event runs more than 2 hours of active robot time, you will need to schedule a break for charging. We flag this during booking so there are no on-site arguments about downtime.

Standard Accessories

Every booking ships with the standard accessory kit: charging cable, transport hardware, and any motion-controller gear appropriate to the service tier. For Self-Service bookings this includes the remote operator controller. For Full-Service bookings, the on-site operator brings all required gear–you do not handle any of the equipment.

Pre-Deployment Support

Our team runs a pre-deployment check on every booking. This covers robot firmware, motion sequence verification, and a run-through of your approved use case. You are not receiving a robot cold out of a box. For a detailed look at how all-day multi-session events are scheduled, the G1 rental operations playbook covers shift planning in full.

Self-Service vs Full-Service Inclusions

The two tiers differ significantly in what ZMProbots provides beyond the robot itself. Choosing the wrong tier is the most common booking mistake. Here is a side-by-side breakdown.

Self-Service Rental (from $299/day, 3-day minimum)

Self-Service is for operators who want to run the robot themselves. You get:

  • The G1 robot — same specs as any booking (127cm, 35kg, 41 DOF)
  • Remote operator training — a structured walkthrough before your event so your team knows how to run the controller, manage sequences, and handle stops safely
  • Standard accessories — charging cable, controller, transport case
  • ZMP Protection — accidental damage coverage during Approved Use
  • Pre-deployment check — firmware and sequence verification before ship-out

What Self-Service does NOT include: an on-site ZMProbots operator. Your team is responsible for running the robot on the day. If your team is not comfortable operating the G1 during a live event, Full-Service is the right choice. The humanoid robot rental FAQ covers operator responsibilities in more detail.

Full-Service Event (request a quote, 1-day minimum)

Full-Service is for clients who want the robot on-site without managing it themselves. You get everything in Self-Service, plus:

  • On-site ZMProbots operator — a trained team member who runs the robot during your event, handles all transitions, monitors battery, and manages crowd interaction
  • On-site troubleshooting — if anything needs adjusting mid-event, the operator handles it without looping in your team
  • Post-event debrief — a short recap of engagement metrics and any operational notes

Full-Service is the standard choice for large public-facing events where unpredictability is high. Trade shows, product launches, and conferences with high foot traffic all benefit from having a dedicated operator. According to Event Marketer, technology activations with dedicated on-site support run with significantly fewer disruptions than self-managed setups.

For a deeper look at how costs scale between the two tiers, the G1 rental cost breakdown covers the pricing logic in full.

What Is Not Included

Knowing what is excluded is just as important as knowing what comes with the booking. These are the most common gaps clients discover late–usually after the contract is signed.

Venue Power

You need to provide a standard 15A electrical outlet for charging. This is standard in nearly every venue, but it is your responsibility to confirm it is available near the robot’s staging area. We do not bring a generator or a power strip. If your venue has unusual electrical infrastructure, flag it during booking so we can advise on placement.

WiFi or Network Connectivity

Remote connectivity for the G1 relies on a WiFi connection. For Self-Service bookings, your team needs to confirm the venue has a usable WiFi signal at the deployment area. Full-Service operators carry backup connectivity options, but venue WiFi is still preferred. Dead zones in exhibition halls and large ballrooms are a known issue–if you are booking for that type of venue, mention it upfront.

Custom Programming

Standard motion sequences are included. Custom programming–unique gestures, brand-specific scripted sequences, pairing with third-party systems–is not in the standard package. If you need custom sequences, that is a separate scoping conversation. Most event use cases run fine on standard sequences. The robot rental company checklist has a section on what to ask when a vendor claims custom sequences are included by default.

Peripheral Hardware

Items like display screens, branded props, backdrop stands, and audio systems are not part of any rental. If your activation requires peripheral equipment around the robot, that is sourced separately. Some event producers set up AV gear around the G1 for product launches and trade shows–that coordination falls on the client or their production company. Industry trade publications like Exhibitor Magazine regularly cover how exhibitors structure tech activations around demo hardware.

Personnel Beyond the Operator

Full-Service includes one on-site ZMProbots operator. A dedicated crowd manager, event host, or brand ambassador is not included. For high-traffic environments, many clients pair the G1 operator with their own brand staff. The operator’s role is the robot; audience engagement beyond that is yours to staff.

People Also Ask

Does a G1 rental come with an operator?

It depends on the tier. Self-Service Rental does not include an on-site operator–you run the robot after training. Full-Service Event includes a ZMProbots operator who manages the robot throughout your event. If you want someone else to handle the robot entirely, Full-Service is the right choice.

Is the transport case included in the rental?

Yes. The G1 ships in a hard-sided transport case on every booking. You do not pay a separate case or freight packaging fee. Return shipping follows the same arrangement.

Does the rental include training?

Self-Service bookings include structured remote operator training before your event. This covers controller operation, standard motion sequences, emergency stops, and safe handling. Full-Service bookings do not require client training because the ZMProbots operator runs the robot.

What does ZMP Protection cover?

ZMP Protection covers accidental damage to the G1 that occurs during Approved Use. It is included in every booking at no additional cost. Damage from use outside of approved parameters is not covered. Your booking agreement defines what constitutes Approved Use.

Do I need to provide anything for a G1 rental?

Yes. For both tiers you need to provide a standard 15A electrical outlet for charging and a WiFi connection at the deployment area. Self-Service clients also need to supply a team member who completes training and operates the robot on-site. Beyond those, the robot, accessories, and support are all on us.

The Bottom Line

Every G1 booking comes with the robot, a charged battery, standard accessories, pre-deployment verification, and ZMP Protection. Self-Service adds remote operator training for your team; Full-Service adds a ZMProbots operator on-site so your team does not have to touch the robot at all. What is not included–venue power, WiFi, custom programming, peripheral hardware–is a short list, and all of it is easy to confirm before you book.

If you are still deciding between tiers or want to know how inclusions map to your specific event type, the humanoid robot rental page covers both Self-Service and Full-Service options and lets you request a quote directly. Getting the inclusions question sorted before you sign saves everyone time on-site.
