How does ZMProbots work?
We run the booking system, the contract, the protection, and the support. A network of 25+ certified suppliers delivers and operates the robots under our spec. You book through the website, pay online, and get instant confirmation. The price you see is the price for every customer — no quotes, no negotiations, no sales team.
How much does it cost to rent?
Self-Service Rental starts at CA$429/day. Full-Service Event starts at CA$2,625/day for 1 to 3 day events. Final price shows live based on your dates and country.
What's the difference between Self-Service Rental and Full-Service Event?
Self-Service Rental: 3 to 30 days, you operate the robot yourself. Full-Service Event: 1 to 3 days, a trained operator runs the robot at your event each day.
How fast can I book?
The booking takes about two minutes — pick dates, pay, get instant confirmation in your inbox.
Do you offer quotes?
No. Pricing is shown live on the booking page. The price you see is the price you pay.
How do I pay?
After you confirm your reservation, it is locked instantly. You will receive an email within the day with the payment options available for your location. Options depend on your country, the rental period, and your information. When card payments are part of those options, they are processed by Stripe — card details never touch our servers.
What happens after I pay?
Your reservation is confirmed and guaranteed the moment your payment goes through. A confirmation email with all your booking details arrives within seconds.
For Self-Service Rentals, we email you 24 to 48 hours before delivery with the exact delivery time, your logistics team, and the robot manual.
For Full-Service Events, we contact you 2 to 3 days before the event to coordinate any final details and confirm everything is in place.
The robot.
What robot do you rent?
The Unitree G1 — the flagship model. The same one used in viral dance videos, at brand events worldwide, and in research labs at MIT, Stanford, and Carnegie Mellon. Learn more →
What can it do?
Walks, waves, shakes hands with five-finger dexterous grippers, runs choreographed dance routines, and holds poses for guest photos. It does not walk outdoors, climb stairs unassisted, or hold open conversations on its own.
Is this the same robot from the viral videos?
Yes. The Unitree G1 is the model in the dance clips, the global concert footage, and the trade show videos.
Do I need to know robotics?
For Full-Service Event bookings — no, the operator runs everything. For Self-Service Rentals — no specialised knowledge needed. A user guide ships with the robot AND Pro Setup & Training is included on every rental — a hands-on session on delivery day with a certified technician. Up to 90 minutes is reserved, but most customers feel comfortable in under an hour. No extra cost.
Can it speak or play sound at my event?
Yes. The robot has built-in stereo speakers. Custom audio — a brand jingle, a wedding processional cue, an announcement track, a multi-language welcome — can be pre-loaded before delivery as part of your Bespoke Performance. Included free on every booking, both tiers.
How long does the battery last?
About 2 hours of active operation per charge. Spares swap in seconds. An extra battery is available as an optional add-on at checkout if you need longer continuous run time.
Delivery & collection.
Do you deliver?
Yes. Delivery and collection are included on every booking. No extra fees regardless of distance within your booked country.
Where do you deliver?
United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe. Pick your country at the start of your booking to see live availability.
How long does delivery take?
Lead time depends on your country and is shown live on the booking page once you pick your region.
What if I'm not at the address on delivery day?
You can authorise someone else to receive the robot — a colleague, security desk, or venue manager. Tell us at booking or via email before delivery day.
Protection.
What if the robot is damaged during my booking?
Accidental damage during your booking is handled by us — we call it ZMP Protection, and it's included on every booking. Learn more →
Is ZMP Protection insurance?
No. It's a contractual cap on your liability for accidental damage during your booking — not an insurance product.
What if the robot stops working during my booking?
24-hour support is included with every booking. Most issues resolve in minutes. If the robot needs replacing, we replace it at no extra cost.
How much is the refundable deposit, and when do I get it back?
A flat refundable amount, shown on the booking page before you pay (typically CA$6,299). Fully refundable — returned via your original payment method (card or bank account) within 7 days of clean return. The deposit caps your damage exposure for the entire booking under ZMP Protection.
Events.
Can I rent a robot for my wedding?
Yes — both tiers work. For the wedding day itself (ring delivery, first-dance entrance, multi-language toast) Full-Service Event gives you a trained operator who runs the Bespoke Performance live, on cue. For a private home rehearsal dinner, welcome reception, or pre-ceremony moments, Self-Service Rental gives you the same Bespoke routine on a remote-trigger or auto-on-approach — no operator in your space. Either way, the routine is recorded and rehearsed before delivery. Included free on both tiers.
Can I rent a robot for a trade show or exhibition?
Yes. Full-Service Event bookings cover up to 8 hours per day on-site, with the operator running the robot at your booth — for 1, 2, or 3 day shows. For 1-day events, Extended Hours can be added at checkout (up to 4 extra hours).
How long can a Full-Service Event last?
1 to 3 consecutive days. Pick your start date and how many days; the operator returns each morning. Up to 8 hours of active operator coverage per day.
Can the robot do something specific for our event?
Yes. Every booking — Self-Service Rental and Full-Service Event — includes a Bespoke Performance. A custom routine designed around your moment: speech in any language and any accent, custom gestures, prop handoffs, dance, walking entrances. We pre-record and rehearse before delivery. On Self-Service the robot does the routine for anyone who approaches, or on your remote-control button. On Full-Service the trained operator triggers it live, only for the exact moment you name. No extra cost on either tier.
Do you cover weekend events?
Yes. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday events have a small weekend surcharge — shown automatically when you pick a weekend date.
What does the robot need at my venue?
A standard power outlet for setup, a flat indoor surface, and roughly 4 metres by 4 metres of clear floor space to perform comfortably. Outdoor setups, stairs, or rain require advance approval.
Is it safe around guests and children?
Yes. The operator manages all interaction — keeping a safe distance during walking, controlling who approaches the robot for photos, and pausing it instantly if needed. Crowd contact during normal operation is part of the design and covered by ZMP Protection.
Who is the operator at my event?
A certified specialist from our trained network — uniformed, briefed on your event details in advance, professional throughout. You deal only with ZMProbots; we handle everything behind the scenes.
