About ZMProbots
What is ZMProbots?
ZMProbots is an online robot rental service. We allow businesses and individuals to rent advanced robots by the day, without buying them. You book online, we deliver the robot to your address, and we collect it at the end of the rental period.
Who owns the robots?
The robots are owned or managed by ZMProbots through agreements with our network of suppliers. You are renting the robot for a set period, not purchasing it.
Who can rent from ZMProbots?
We serve both professional and personal customers, including event organisers, exhibition teams, schools and universities, researchers, content creators, brands, hospitality venues, retail activations, and individuals planning a unique experience.
Where do you operate?
We currently operate within specific cities and local service areas. The available delivery area is shown during the booking process. If you are unsure whether we cover your location, contact us before booking.
Booking
What rental periods do you offer?
You can rent a robot for a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of 30 days. The rental period is selected when you book. Extensions may be possible depending on availability.
Is my booking confirmed instantly?
Yes. Once payment is completed at checkout, your booking is confirmed immediately. You will receive a confirmation email. There is no manual approval step.
Can I rent more than one robot?
Yes. If you need multiple robots, you can book them separately. Each robot is its own booking with its own rental period, delivery, and collection.
Do you offer discounts for multiple robots?
Discounts for large or multi-robot bookings are considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact us before booking if you are renting several robots at once and we will see what we can do.
Delivery
Can I collect the robot myself?
No. All robots are delivered by us to your approved address. Self-collection is not available. This ensures the robot is handled correctly and arrives in good condition.
Is delivery included in the price?
Yes. Delivery and collection are included in the rental price for addresses within our service area. There are no additional delivery fees for qualifying locations.
Do you deliver on weekends or public holidays?
No. Delivery and collection are available on weekdays only, excluding public holidays. If your rental period starts or ends on a weekend or public holiday, the system will guide you to select valid dates during booking.
Payment and Security Deposit
What is the security deposit?
The security deposit is a refundable amount held to cover any damage or loss during the rental period. The deposit amount varies by robot and is shown on the product page before you book. It is charged at checkout alongside the rental fee.
How quickly do you return the security deposit?
The security deposit is refunded after the robot has been collected and inspected. If there is no damage, the refund is processed promptly. The time it takes to appear in your account depends on your payment provider and typically takes 5 to 10 business days.
Can I cancel my booking?
Cancellations are subject to our cancellation policy, which is shown at checkout and in the Terms of Service. Some cancellations may be eligible for a partial or full refund depending on how far in advance you cancel. Please review the policy before booking.
Insurance
Is insurance included?
Basic coverage is included as part of the rental. However, the customer is responsible for any damage, loss, or theft that occurs during the rental period. We recommend reviewing the Policies page for full details on liability and coverage limits.
What is not covered by the rental agreement?
The following are not covered and remain the customer's responsibility: physical damage caused by misuse or accidents; loss or theft of the robot or accessories; damage caused by operating the robot outside approved use rules; moving the robot outside the approved service area without written permission.
Using the Robot
Can I program the robot?
Some robots support custom programming or movement sequences depending on the model. If programming is supported, it will be noted on the product page. Custom software or firmware changes are not permitted without prior written approval.
Can I move the robot to another address?
The robot must remain within the original booking city or approved local service area. Moving it outside that area without prior written approval is a breach of the rental agreement. Contact us in advance if you need to use the robot at a different location.
Can guests interact with the robot?
Yes, in most cases. Guest interaction is one of the most common reasons people rent robots for events, hospitality, and retail. However, the person who placed the booking remains responsible for ensuring the robot is used correctly and safely at all times.
Certified Operator Setup
What is Certified Operator Setup?
Certified Operator Setup is an optional add-on available at checkout. A certified technician attends delivery, switches on the robot, configures it for your use case, and provides up to 60 minutes of on-site guidance and training. This is recommended if your team has no prior experience with the robot model you are renting.
Is Certified Operator Setup required?
No, it is optional. For customers who are experienced with robotic systems or have reviewed the documentation provided at booking, Certified Operator Setup is not required. It is available as a convenience for those who want hands-on support at the start of their rental.
